Verizon android phones


There are currently thirteen Android phones available for Verizon, five of which are 'droid' phones. The Droid 2, Droid The Incredible 2, the Droid X2, the Droid Pro, and the droid R2-D2. A common misconception is that the word "Droid" refers to all Android phones, when in fact it's just a brand name that some of the manufacturers have used a particular brand Android phone.

Until recently, the Droid 2 by Motorola and the Droid Incredible 2 by HTC suggested the poll position in the Verizon Droids. However, the Motorola Droid X2 itself recently in our number one position. The Droid X2 comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo), but is upgradable to Gingerbread (Android 2.3 - the latest Android version). Remember - all of the above phones with Android 2.2, with official upgrades for gingerbread in the near future, but if you custom ROM'ed your phone, you can unreleased versions of Gingerbread online.
